Low on Energy? Try This 60-Second Check Before You Push Through

If you’re running on empty and telling yourself you just need to “push through”, pause for a moment.
Low energy isn’t a motivation problem — it’s usually a signal you haven’t been shown how to read yet.
School holidays, work deadlines, mental load, caring for everyone else… when life is full, energy quietly drains in ways that aren’t always obvious. And the more tired you are, the harder it becomes to work out where to start — even when you know something needs to change.
That’s exactly why I created this simple check.
Why “trying harder” doesn’t fix low energy
When energy is low, most women assume they need more discipline, better routines, or stronger willpower.
In reality, energy problems are rarely about effort — they’re about misalignment.
Pushing harder often makes things worse. It adds more pressure to an already overloaded system, without addressing what’s actually draining you.
Low energy isn’t a personal failure. It’s information.
The most common reasons busy working mums feel exhausted
If you’re feeling flat, foggy, or constantly tired, it’s usually one (or more) of these:
Too much on your plate (mental load counts)
Waking tired even after sleep
Skipping meals or eating on the run
Having no time that’s genuinely yours
Feeling disconnected from yourself or what matters
None of this means you’re doing everything “wrong”.
It simply means your energy is leaking somewhere — and it hasn’t been named yet.
A better question to ask: “Where is my energy leaking?”
Instead of asking “What should I do?”, a more useful question is:
“What’s draining me the most right now?”
When you identify the starting point, the next step becomes clearer — and far more doable. You stop trying to fix everything at once and start making progress where it actually matters.
The 60-Second Energy Check (no judgement)
Before you try to change anything, it helps to know where your energy is leaking most right now.
I’ve created a short, doctor-designed Energy Check to help you pinpoint:
your most likely energy drain right now, and
one realistic next step you can actually fit into your life.
It takes about a minute.
No tracking. No guilt. No overwhelm.
What happens after you take it
You’ll see:
your personal starting point, and
a simple, practical next step — not a full life overhaul.
And if you’d like help making it stick, I’ll also send you my free 5-Step SMART Guide + Planner — a gentle framework I use with busy working women who want energy back without burning out.
A final thought
If you’ve been “meaning to” look after yourself but can’t get traction, you’re not lazy — you’re overloaded.
The right next step isn’t doing more.
It’s starting in the right place.
Let's make your success healthy and happy!
